On May 1 and 3, 2019, the Polish jazz group Michał Martyniuk Quartet performed in Kuala Lumpur.

The band comprises of Michał Martyniuk - piano, Jakub Skowroński - saxophone, Bartłomiej Chojnacki - double bass, Jakub Gudz - drums.

The artists presented themselves to the audience during performances at the legendary music club "No Black Tie" and during the 5th World Youth Festival held in Kuala Lumpur. The performances were very well received.

Michał Martyniuk is a pianist who became one of the most active creators of the New Zealand music scene. In cooperation with leading musicians from Auckland in 2016, he recorded the album "After Ours" combining jazz with club and electronic music. Currently, the group is promoting the next album "Nothing to Prove" recorded last year.

The performance in Malaysia was possible thanks to the cooperation of the Embassy of Poland in Kuala Lumpur and the Jazz Po Polsku project, part of which Polish jazz musicians were once again able to present themselves to the Malaysian audience.
